The Aftermath

And, this is where it all ends.

Crushed. Destroyed. Tucked with the understated irreversibility of the event.

It could've been a wonderful house you chose to build beside the lake. It could've been a nice little restaurant down the street. It could've been anything.

But now, it's mere dust and rock and crusts of what it used to be, or what it could've been.

Some things in life are, simply put, irreversible. Once we've crossed a certain point, there's just no way to return to the initial state. And so, I wonder how are you dealing with the aftermath?
